lain2x na sila ug specs..
tried this myself using 4gb ram and 8gb ram sa 32 bit windows..
using 4gb ram 32 bit, ang usable ram lng is 3.25gb... and rest kay allocated sa "hardware", which means dli nmu magamit.
using 8gb ram 32 bit, ang usable ram lng is 3.25gb... and rest kay allocated sa "hardware", which means dli nmu magamit.
And kung mo opt ka ug higher ram and ganahan ka ma utilize sa system u have to opt for a 64-bit OS! Now take note kay most of the time... Magtuo ra ba gyud ta na since i have a bigget ram dapat mas paspas na ako system... You will have to consider other things sad like ur processor and the capability of your hardware components... Why? Kay aside from ram utilization, naa pa laing stuff why people opt for 64-bit which i tell you noe utilizes resources... For example, encryption... Encryption works best in a 64-bit system pero mogamit na sya ug resources... Notice sad na not all drivers will install on a 64-bit system kay most often than not mangita ang 64-bit ug digitally signed driver... Hahaha! Nosebleed na ang uban... My point is, ram is a big contributor on how fast our system is but its not the only factor! =)
TS, your i3 should be able to handle 64bit processing. And sakto to si @jean321, me limit lang ang memory na ma-access ng 32bit system -- 3.25gig sounds just about right. The rest is tambay na memory (wasted memory) na. So, if you are planning to use more than 4gig of memory, go for 64bit na.
HTH
mao diay nag kamang akong photoshop maski taas akong ram... kay xp raman akong os..
win7 64bit is better than win7 32 bit
and it depends on your specs if you can support a 64bit
put it this way. windows 7 32bit, kutob ra 3 gig imong memory bisan paslakan pana nimo og 8 gb. 64bit, beyond 4gb memory pede nimo ma gamit(aside from hardware limitations sa board), then 64bit has better security encryptions than 32bit.
32-bit OSs were created for 32-bit machines. these machines with memory address registers that are able to address only 2^32 byte addresses. in other words, the CPU can only "see" 2^32 addresses.
byte addresses are called us such because they are 1-byte in size. doing the math, we can say that there are 4294967296 byte addresses that are theoretically addressable by the machine. even if you have a gazillion bytes of RAM, you are only able to "see" 4 Gibibytes. (there are other components in your system which are addressed/mapped by the OS: that's why you only see around 3-something GiB. even lower if you have a GPU with large memory)
64-bit OSs on the other hand... well, you get the idea.
basta kapag 32bit hanggang 3.5gb lang readable memory kahit na 8gb pa yunginstalled ram mo. sa 64bit unlimited....hehehehe...
-newbie just gaining some post.
murag sakto sila... basa langko for further info lang.....
