Oftentimes I get to be the hero and sometimes the villain when being the hero isn't enough.

It's a mantle not easy to take off, especially when one really loves and cares for the well-being of family.

But this is Life, to each their own. There comes a point in time when each of us has to have our own minds, decisions and choices; in order to have happiness.

You already gave your piece of mind to your playful sister, I assume, now it's time to hold your peace of mind. Your sister needs some growing up to do and sooner or later, she has to learn how to do it on her own because YOU will not always be there for her. Maybe your sister needs this experience, whatever consequence may come, to learn how to live and love better. Sometimes, experience is the best teacher.

If you really want to be a good sister, family that could really be count on. Then as much as it is possible, as much as you can, just be there. Just be there and be the person that your sister can turn to. If not to help, but just be there to comfort, to accept.
