How do you know? Have you exhausted all means yet? Have you seen the efforts of others yet? Tsk tsk. Too early para magsalita ng tapos, buddy. You're entitled to your opinion, but if you're not doing your part in society and are merely looking at events as they happen, then what's the point of opining? If you want to do something, take part in something then. Read CDP | Ang Partido ng Tunay na Demokrasya if you really want to know why we say we're neither TR nor BOPK (these two don't even qualify as political parties FYI). Thanks!

If you're there for the food alone, then you better bail out. You're going to meet people with class, decency and proper upbringing. These people are serious about their advocacy. If this is all you can say, then thank you for the warning (the way you comment speaks greatly about your personality and your level). If your idealism is no longer there, then don't bother. Thanks!

wow so much for bringing change on our society, dri palang gani nag maldito na,
anyways, on a serious note, if naa jd mga taw na ganahan motabang sa society, I Don't think politics or government can,
ang batasan sa Pinoy ang dapat usbon. Oh wait, maybe if iron fist ang mag lead sa society para maorganize ta, pero daghan moreklamo ani.

for my opinion, the other way of helping the society is investing and generating Jobs, politics is not always the solution.

Thanks for your concern. I have to tell you frankly because condoning such jaded, mocking attitude is going to breed more people of such nature. You well know that. And please think again. Politics governs investments and job generation as you well know. All our big-time investors are filtered by the government and you cannot just go and invest without going through the government first (papers, permits, contracts, partnership and the like). all those BPO-KPO and multinational investors in our country all went through the government before setting up business here in Cebu or wherever in the Philippines. All of them had to pass through government before jobs were even generated. The government regulates the number of investors. NGO's cannot bring in investors as well as the government. The most they can do is fulfill unmet basic needs of the people or help empower private and public institutions so they could function as they should.

Politics is necessary. It is everywhere. Even the mere fact that you're commenting here at istorya.net is already considered politics. Thanks!

On the contrary, even NGO's pass through or work hand in hand with the government. NGO's alone could not work by themselves. Everything that deals with scarce resources and the allocation thereof is CALLED POLITICS. You should not think that politics is confined within government, because it's basically all things that involve resources. These NGO's too are facing the same dilemma our organization is facing - apathy, jadedness, and tolerance of certain detrimental practices in existing systems. You are encouraged to read and know the roots of things first before judging. You cannot just say point blank that politics is not necessary. Because your comment in itself is a political act. Thanks!
