Gov. Gwen has done a lot of good things in the province and I believe that if her projects and programs would be continued, it would do more. Why should we try on someone new (if we check what Davide had done for Cebu City --not a single resolution passed in Davide's entire two terms as he served councilor in Cebu City), when we know that there is someone who can do better. Parehas ra ni silang duha, Cong. PJ and Davide Jr., both are banking on their father's good names....but I think that we should go beyond looking at that. Atong tanawon ang mga nabuhat. Adto ta sa kahibawo mutingog, dili kanang gamiton ug magpa-gamit lang.

Gwen has done good things? what good things man? purchase of Balili property? overpriced CICC? SUROY SUROY SUGBO nga gausik lang sa pundo sa munisipyo plus ga bilin pa jud ug dakong utang sa panudlanan sa probinsya sa sugbo.? kung ako si davide makig debate ko unya ako ipagawas ang evidence sa corruption sa cicc ug balili para mahibalo ang mga tawo sa probinsya. Pero murag talaw man si davide wala ceguro ebedinsya nga concreto. Kaning iya issue sa cicc ug balili wa gyud sya ika supporta nga tarong nga ebidensya.

Ang title ini nga thread is Davide-Magpale or Garcia-Durano or to elaborate further this thread should be about Junjun Davide - Agnes Magpale or Pablo John Garcia - Boboy Durano. But why is it nga ang pinaka starring diri nga thread is Gwen Garcia? She is no longer running for governor and as proudly pointed out by many, she has been sued many times over. Her day in court is coming and she will get what is coming to her. So why are many here still obsessed with talking about her? If she is guilty of all the allegations, then ma priso siya, di ba?

But what about the candidates for governor who will lead our province for the next 3 years at least? Why don't we talk about them? Both have distinguished fathers and both carry their fathers' names. Both have been in public service so both have records to speak off. What has each of them done while in public service? What are their accomplishments in their respective positions? What have they done to help Cebu? What are their plans for Cebu, if elected governor? How do they envision Cebu in 5, 10 or 20 years? Hopefully, these two candidates will stand on their own merits and not rely on their fathers' good names to propagate their candidacies. These are the questions we should be asking them both to answer. I just hope people in this forum realize that the future of Cebu rests upon the decisions we Cebuanos make in the coming elections.

Is a debate really necessary? No, for as long as both candidates give us the answers to the questions above as well as other questions that will affect Cebu. Do we need to keep revisiting allegations about the present suspended governor? No, because the legal process has already been started and the wheels are in motion so let's not waste our time on her. She will get what she deserves. Lets hear what Junjun Davide and Pablo John Garcia have to say about their plans for Cebu whether in a debate or whatever form they choose for as long as they make themselves heard and not just keep silent.
