If that is the case then it is obvious that tradition is of greater importance than equality... the excuse that it's like this because "we have always done it this way" doesn't sit too well it these modern times where women play greater roles in society.

Traditions are not excuses but rather basis .

Not that I am being soeone who disregards them and puts them in a lower status . But because being a community of PATRIARCHAL leadership also does at all justify na women are of lower importance . If you happen to check the PAROCHIAL LETTERS of St. Paul ( 1 and 2 Timothy ) , you would be amazed how women are given the responsibility also being important members of the society being WIDOWS .

you're most welcome bai, however kinahanglan atong tubag dapat mahiuyon lang pud sa pagtulon.an sa RCC
kay para di malibog atong mga forumers. for example i understand nga lahi mug views about certain practices sa Catholic..
when a certain query about one of the RCC practices is raised though Christians from other denominations might have a different POV about that particular RCC pratice and as you may have your own POV and teachings about the subject,
in this thread, it's best that your answer should be from RCC's perspective.
