it somewhat lowered the temps, but not much. temps occasionally above 80, but that will be my fix for a while. i hope arctic silver will do the trick, i dont have much money yet...

Arctic Silver should be available. I got mine from PCX (right across SM).

I have the Inno3d 6600 GT. Yes, those temps are quite 'normal'. If you're really concerned, you'll have to get a new heatsink and fan for it, remove the GPU thermal paste on the card (using high-purity alcohol or arctic cleaner, which btw iirc isn't sold here), and apply AS5.

I only got 90º C while overclocking the video card to 550 mhz/1000 ghz memory. The highest it got was around 85º C IIRC. The video card is still working fine after 2 years of heavy use.

Bro, i read your post, seems like that is not normal for a palit brand. Asa na nimo gpalit ky pailisi na. Try ask sa mga technicians ky if ideally ingon ana iya temp for its chip. Basin dili na magdugay. Ipa tan aw sad if synchronize ba ang data sa fan speed ug sa data sent sa coputer.
