please be informed that the first school accredited by PAASCU in the Visayas regions is USC and Silliman Univ. way back 1980's as matter of fact these universities are charter or founding members of PAASCU. There is no level 5 accreditation of PAASCU, USJR is still a neophyte in it's Research and Publications both nationally and internationally. While USC has strong tradition of Research in the natural sciences, social sciences, physics and engineering by scientists priest from europe and north america since 1960's. USC has the Water Resource Center, Office of Population Studies, Marine Bio Research Station, Cebuano Studies Center, etc. USJR and other schools in Cebu is inferior to USC in research, prestigious alumni here and abroad!

being at a neutral school (in negros) i'd have to say cit for engineering.

sa excel review center palang puro mga cit ang mga na topnotchers sa ilang weekly exam. Mga gahi kaau ni sila.

i don't know about USC but murag gahi2x sad ni sila in a different way

pinoys in north america particularly from visayas regions are graduates of these universities USC, CIT, USJR and lot more in the medical fields CIM/ Velez, CDU, few from SWU. unfortunately many didn't have the jobs of their choice coz despite their college diploma they work as caregivers, nannies, truck delivery drivers, machine operators, factory workers, telemarketers or Call center agents, depot stores & warehouse workers, fastfood chains etc: lot of them have to work 3 jobs in a week to send money to their family in the Phils.

for fellow pinoy / cebuanos going abroad especially in north america please be forwarned that your college diploma will not be sufficient to get a good job here, even registered nurse in US especially new ones are retrenched, it's better to have specialized skills training, if possible post college diploma in emerging fields/technology for sure you'll have chance to get a high paying job & career up here in Canada.

cit tops again! slogan of the school when it's graduate is among the top 10 in board exams, same as with other schools USC, USJR, UC, etc. but the real measure of a school's quality of education in term of board exams is the passing percentage of the school, PRC data of performance of schools in different board exams in the past 5-10 years have shown that in central visayas region it's Silliman U and USC have high passing percentages above the national passing rate in various board exam. USC has been among the top 10 performing schools in accountancy, chemical engineering, chemist, architecture, pharmacy, electronics & communications engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, librarians, teachers board exams, While Silliman U has excellent performance in accountancy, nursing, chemists, agricultural engineering, civil and mechanical engineering, teachers's board exam while the Supreme Court has included USC and Silliman among the top 10 law schools based on their high passing percentage in the bar exams. No wonder why TORs of graduates of these universities as well the other top universities in the country (UPD, UPLB, UP Manila, ADMU, DLSU, UST,) are easily recognized when evaluated by credentials assessors in the US and Canada, with the premise that the person have good marks / grades too as well other qualifications such as specialized skills, foreign diploma or certified advanced professional training, track record of professional experience.
