This is my discernment: Going to the gym and having your baon prepared are taxing and expensive. But, after receiving my medical results that everything is normal compared to my previous medical results, I was able to say that it's worth it. Except that my BMI says that I am overweight, wahahahha!!!

I just found out yesterday that I'm no longer a pure ectomorph but rather a 'skinny fat' guy

I read this online article: Seven Life Saving Tips for Skinny-Fat Ectomorphs | Arnold Schwarzenegger

    Ako ni i-try nya,

"Besides, us skinny fats are terrible nutrient partitioners (that is, we store more of our excess calories as fat instead of muscle). Creating more fats cells is just all around bad news as it may take them ten years to completely “die” (1).

Don’t get me wrong—building muscle is a skinny-fat priority. But you don’t have to do a traditional “bulk up” to make it happen. Body fat itself is stored energy. And while body fat won’t magically turn into muscle, it’s broken down and used for energy when needed. Let the body do what it can with that energy in the name of building muscle before resorting to eating the house in an effort to “bulk up.”

Eat a little less than you need every day and hit the iron hard. Good things will happen."

    Naa pud diri, if-youre-a-skinny-fat-ectomorph-then-this-is-for-you

Body type is irrelevant. The only difference is that ectomorphs have a blazing fast metabolism. But that doesn't change the fact that Calorie surplus = Weight gain, Calorie deficit = Weight loss

@Xeno: In my case it's not like when I was younger when I can eat anything and nothing happens but now I have to be more careful, I may gain weight if I do eat a lot but that would also probably put more on my tummy. I'm going to try to reduce my carbohydrates on non-work out days (that's 4x a week) and I'm going for more reps but gradually increasing weights. I'm also trying to incorporate dunno-what-they're called exercises but today I did dumbbell step-ups and farmer's walks to merge strength + endurance. I'll also eat some tuna every afternoon with Skyflakes. Maybe at some point, more bodyweight trainings.

I think this picture (not mine) would explain what my body looks like better

Mao na ako lawas a year ago. What changed since then is that I have a thicker back, better looking chest and at least my legs don't look like a woman's although it's still not macho looking. My arms are still thin but harder. My tummy's gotten smaller but the shape is still like in the photo.

I guess I just have to work harder and smarter pa dyud.
