here's a more reliable link.. from Philstar.

CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested an alleged masiao coordinator in an operation in Sitio Kawayan, Barangay Guadalupe, last Monday night.

Chief Insp. Romeo Santander, who heads the City Intelligence Branch of the Cebu City Police Office, identified the suspect as Lodgerio Labra, 57.

A team of CIB operatives led by Insp. William Alicaba went to the place around 8 p.m. and arrested Labra, who was reportedly caught in the act of handing over stubs to a police decoy, Santander said.

“Naa’y pulis ming-act as decoy, nagpasumangil og pusta ngadto niya kay ilado man na siya diha na coordinator sa Masiao. Paghatag niya sa stub, gidakop namo siya,” said Santander. He said the suspect was arrested by the Guadalupe Police for the same offense last October.

Santander said when they tried to arrest him the suspect ran inside his house so the police followed him and arrested him there.

Thanx for the reliable Philstar source.

i guess we have now two sides of the story.
if police chased the suspect, i think no warrant of arrest is necessary.

if the police act as decoy and then later arrest him in the house. i think the warrant should have been necessary.
if the police searched the house for evidence, then a search warrant should be needed as well.

i guess will just have to wait till the facts really would came out.

Mo agi na jud nig legal proceedings kay cases have been filed na man daw. Let's just hope and pray nga patas lang jud.
Pero what outrages me is the policemen's attitude..nga very clear jud sa video...dili ma lalis..ug dili ma ingon nga one-sided

Mrs. Labra: Naa mo’y warrant sir?

Police Officer: Kinsa’y nangita’g warrant?! Ha?! Ganahan mo’g warrant, ha?!

Badz: Taysa, murelease mo’g warrant – gikuha na ninyo, murelease pa mo’g warrant, inyo na’ng gikuha?

Police Officer (To Badz): Ganahan ka mukuyog?!
Wapaak! Ganahan ka mukuyog? So naa silay power nga ikuyog sa prisohan ang anak JUST BECAUSE nangitag warrant? Trollolol..

mao gyud. kanang klase sah mga tawhana gud (masiao coordinator) modeny gyd nah.. I mean halos tanan madakpan on act mo deny gyud.. convincing enough for friend or someone nga maka patuo gyud. but I agree with some here.. the policeman nga ila gi-kastorya is really rude. i think masulod nah sah kaso nila as "ungentleman conduct", mura kana nindot nah ikaso sah mga hambog nga police.. nag mantsa sah police force.

    >>mao gyud. dakpa si joavan ninyo.. pero ang problema unsa kaso? nga gipang solbad man outside sah court (which is legal) man sad. ug usa pa, I heard nag bag0 nadaw si joavan... any news from that talisaynons?

Have you read the whole blog article? If you do I can't understand what makes you think it's reliable. The blog thing aims to destroy the whole police office, for the sake of one's interest ( the victim side daw, na daghan naman ni ug kaso ang kanahan.)

Now if I'll write a blog calling all cebuano's stupid because of a certain incident I had, would that make it a reliable source.. pooff!!

Yep I read the blog..a couple of times actually. For me it's reliable since it's a first-hand accounting of what occurred that night. But this is according to the family of the accused, so many are questioning it's reliability kay biased man. As all cases go, kinahanglan jud all sides madunggan.

I wouldn't call it that..I think the writer is merely expressing her frustration with the police force. She wrote, "Standing in CCPO, I could not help but notice the irony of being in a police station and yet feeling unsafe." And I can actually imagine that, after what her friend went through that night (part of which is evident in the video).

And if you write that all-cebuanos-are-stupid blog, I'd also be whining about it, and you'd be bombarded w/ nega comments. So I feel you.
