The big day is almost here. On Wednesday, February 20th, Sony is holding an event in New York City to discuss “the future of PlayStation.” We’re pretty sure this means the PlayStation 4 – or Orbis or whatever it’s called – is getting announced.

A new rumor suggests that PlayStation 4 is due this November and will be available at two price points. According to Kotaku, anonymous sources say the PlayStation 4 is currently planned for two SKUs at $429 and $529 respectively, though “that could change.”

Sony's Announcement

PlayStation Meeting 2013: it’s finally (almost) here! The festivities begin today, Wednesday February 20th starting at 6:00pm Eastern Time (3:00pm Pacific Time)….and you’ll be able to watch live right here from this humble PlayStation.Blog post. Set those bookmarks and timers!

What a Bummer, the new PS4 isn't backward compatible with your previous native PS3.... what does mean?? I think you need to kiss all your old PS3 discs goodbye...

PlayStation 4 will not have native PS3 backwards compatibility
