Updating LED TV Firmware, necessary?

I just purchased a Samsung LED TV 40EH5000. In the Samsung Phil website, it provides as firmware upgrade but I do not know if what is in my TV is already an upgraded firmware. How do I know it? Is it also necessary? What advantage would I get from an upgrade?

update only kung naa ka problems if wala, leave it as is. delikado kaau basta update2 ug firmware. this is just like bios flashing that can cause unusability sa imo device if not done properly.

well not necessarily. the purpose of firmware updates are to provide fixes to certain issues and new content for some smart tvs. so it's important to read the release notes first to see if that's what you need. if it fixes any issues that annoys you or provides something new that you want in your tv, go for it. if not, you don't have to.

personally I don't update the firmware unless naa ka issue sa current one, same ra pud nako sa bios ako ra update kung naa ko problems sa old one, or significant jud ang iya update..
