this is like my work environment. The great minds are leaving because they do not get what they deserve. I'm worried that all that will be left in the workplace will be incompetent people. It makes you want to quit your job since you have to double your effort because of bad employees that are bringing down the group. The bad employees are even getting the higher pay.

Quite the opposite TS.

Some, mo dive nalang ug pang abroad bahala ug gagmay ug starting. Eventually, mo dagko ra gehapon ilang sweldo sa gawas due to experience and hard work.

Daghan kog nakit-an mga classmates ing ani. Ang mga maayo ug record sa college, ang uban naapa diri na stuck up locally like Lexmark RND, SMB, NGCP, etc... while ang mga pa relax2x lang sa college naa sa abroad kasagaran, mga dagko na ug sweldo.

^ I think depende pud sa imong field. In IT field, academic achievements / certification doesn't imply maau naka. There's a lot of those magna / com laude nga dili gud ana ka maau og programming.

I agree to a lot of your statements. It's not just the dismal pay that's discouraging, but you're also wasting away your potential into a company that's just repeating and repackaging their products (e.g. detergent bars, health products)

I think it's also because our business leaders are content with creating the fastest way to get profit. They don't want to take the risk in investing into Technology and Research and development. And so all we get from our affluent few are the usual super malls, condominium houses, advertising, and a mediocre entertainment industry.
Why can't our business men step up and take in charge?

Maybe we really need to open up the market to foreign companies so at least we can take advantage of the technology transfer if they operate here like what's currently happening in China.

Yup! because our country cannot and will not sustain the best minds of the Filipinos.
Best option nlng gud nimu is mag-negosyo!

ana gyud na people come and go... sometimes come back and vice versa..., but every year new best minds are born man pud
