4GB internal storage with microSD card up to 32GB
8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash; VGA front camera
    4160mAh battery
    Android Ice Cream Sandwich
PRICE: Php 7,777 landed and locally available in cebu

    Lenovo P770 specs:
    DUAL Sim
    Android 4.1 (Jellybean)
    1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 CPU
1 GB of RAM, along with 4 GB internal memory
4.5″ quarter HD (qHD) screen at 540×996 resolution
5 megapixel main camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera
3500 mAh battery 29 hours of talk time
PRICE: estimated PHP14,800 and will be released in PH market God knows when.

    comparison based on specs:

    pro on P770:
    - latest android OS or Jelly Bean
    - 1GB or 256mb more on RAM (doesnt makes much difference for me)
    - 4.5 screen or .2 bigger than 430x

    pro on 430x:
    - BIGGER battery and a difference of 660mAH in comparison to P770
    - available in local market specially in cebu(RC goldline SM) with local support
    - more mature in philippine market
    - way CHEAPER than P770 (its cloud not lenovo) but for the difference of somewhere 7,000 this makes a BIG difference
    - 8 MP camera with dual led flash compared to 5MP single lead flash.

i think upon making this comparison might get the cloudfone even before march ehehhehe!
It has a great specs but I would rather buy a Lenovo than a cloudfone for I think cloudfone don't manufacture phones (Please do correct me if I am wrong). Lenovo manufacture their own phone. It is really tempting to buy the cloudfone because of the price and specs.

Can you expound more on the death grip while on 3g and blowing chargers experienced by your brother in law? At least we can have some idea. Thank you.

most bad experiences of this fone are there bad generic chargers blowing up thats why on the first batches they have repalced lots of bad chargers but that is a very minimal problem if you have lots of different chargers... It loses 3g signals if not held a certain way , you have to clench it hard for it to comeback.... hardware problem most likely... other than that he has had no complaints.

    just check there facebook account...

at the moment, the cloudfone 430x fixed the issue with chargers, new batches resolved the issue with:
    1. exploding chargers(different chargers and not the exploding ones are provided upon purchase)
    2. 3G intermittent signal based on position and handling. solved with firmware upgrade which ships or comes when you purchase.
    3. default SIM(sim 1) defaults to be the sending sim when on threaded view even though you set on your setting to always ask. solved with firmware upgrade which ships or comes when you purchase.
    4. globe locked - i'll be ROOTING this phone the moment i got home (if ever i get it) with the innos ROM. this covers and resolves even issues #2 and #3 "i think". more over, i cook my own custom roms. so the 756mb ram wont be an issue as well.

430x uses a processor that is less battery hungry compared to P770. the P770's processor is A9 which is way overclocked than its rated clock speed.

heres a good read about the phone: Cloudfone Thrill 430x Review good, updated and detailed review with several user comments and experiences. has good user review on its PROs and CONs. i think i'll wait as said til march if this P770 is officially released in PH.

i think cloudfone NOT manufacturing their own phones is an advantage instead of a disadvantage. since the 430x is a rebranded "innos D9" there is a BIGGER user base and available roms and custom roms out there. see my recent reply in the 430x review i posted and copy pasted below for an update on the comparison with P770 and 430x:

    --------------
hello @symphonyx7, thanks for the reply. yes i noticed that difference between P770 and 430x on board processor. slight performance difference with the difference in power/battery drain(bec of A5 and A9) i'll go for the 430x. additional thoughts 430x has pros versus P770:

    - has a dedicated hardware button for camera
    - has innos roms and custom/cooked roms available, unlike the P770 which is not mature in the rooted/custom-rom/roms side.

again thank you for this very thorough review!

this is another advantage of the cloudfone 430x. the more MATURE the product, the better. the BIGGER the user-base, the better. more user-base means more end-users reporting bugs and whats-not.
