    Important:
rule #1: "always burn in half speed" (ex: if you're using 16x disc then set your NERO (or whatever you're using) the speed to 8x.
rule#2: ayaw i-burn dritso imo files to dvd disc, instead burn it (your pictures, movies or docs) first to image file.
rule#3: always check your buffer level.

Tinoud na salig mo nako kay mao na ako panginabuhi sulod sa napulo na ka tuig...shoot, Edit & Burn...hehehe

so far payts paman kaayo ako CD-R king brand CD's and DVD's. just write at the lowest possible write speed if wala ka nag-dali para safe ang imo pag-burn. however kung back up na sa files PLEASE USE THE MOST EXPENSIVE BRAND YOU CAN AFFORD! I usually use Sony or Verbatim for my photo and video backups and client CD's hehehe

    thanks sa mga inputs

pero libog kaau sa ubang inputs:

actually magburn ko dile man full speed (but naka-try na sad ko full speed)
mao ni ako kalibugan - if mag-full speed ka sa burning
then after ana ok kaau siya mobasa
    * if movie/s mahuman as in walay untol
    * if software i.e. OS mainstall siya tarong

on regards sa full speed- mubo ra d.i kinabuhi if full compared sa half / slow speed?

full speed vs slow speed burning wala may epekto sa lifespan sa cd/dvd burns, para nako its just a "safety" of sorts para compatible ang uban readers. remember, puro na CLASS A ang baligya sa cdrking(maybe lower) even kana ilang branded-kuno, so naa chance na d jud na sila justfied sa iyang rated speed. but, i have been using CDRKING-bought disks on my main backups and BUYAG wala may ni fail sa backups nako.

when i buy though, i select a batch na walay sort of imperfection sa data-part sa disk. ang uban naa man gud discoloration or d "plain" ang coating(watchout anang naa mga circle sa disk bisan unsa kagamay). ang ingon ani na type sa disk ang magkaproblema ko, even after burning. inig test nmo mag error or dili mabasa.

usually ako paliton didto is katu naka label na IOMEGA na brand, mao jud ako priority.

this is just me though. others may have a different opinion but my way worked for me. i still have backups from years ago(cd pa to, not dvd) and its still working.
