PS3 is gonna be the last console I'll ever buy. Technology Turnover is way too fast to enjoy anything.
And I'm not gonna dish-out Php 4k for just some game that only takes 1-week to complete.

Same concern I have. PS1 and PS2 on PSN is a no-brainer, but it wouldn’t surprise me if this next console doesn’t offer backwards compatibility for PS3 games. It will be interesting to see how they handle PSN purchases of PS3 games. Cell will most likely drag the Playstation down, again.
I’ really hope so. We’re already 2 generations after the PS1, but loading times have not yet improved dramatically. I’d even say there are some games that took longer to load than it was back then.
Eh? There’s nothing shameless about exclusives. It’s all good business. Exclusives drive console sales; Any console manufacturer knows that. It’s only natural for them to capitalize on exclusives.
The PS3 already has games which support 3D displays. The next step is support for 4k displays, which is very likely to be a feature of Sony’s next home console. It will be a feature they can also use to help their TV division, which at the moment is losing billions.
Of course, Sony wants $$$. So does Microsoft, Nintendo and Valve.
Although, after the huge losses they made in the majority of the PS3s life, and the horrible sales of the Vita, Sony surely wants their next home console to make more $$$.

Well I did say it is an Effective tactic.
I say it's shameless since I am consciously well-aware of it since I work in a similar as this (I'm in Advertising, you see) and Exclusivity on certain things does have its ups and downs. In my opinion, its only becomes a shameless tactic when it becomes well-aware on its nature or if one (in this case, me) knows of its true nature--but again, this is just me talking about it. Some consider it a good thing and some don't while some just don't care. In my line of work, this version applies as well. But I don't want to give any pointers on how we use this tactic--coz it'd be "shameless" if we did.
Whoops, maybe I said too much? hahaha
And yes, it is all about $$$ in the end.
I stand by what I say, business is business. And for Sony to release PS4 soon? Well, I guess it's "good" business.![]()
for me sony will repeat its past. "past repeats itself"
- backwards compatibility at first.... in the long run it will vanish
- hardware revisions
- loading is always been an issue. dli na jud na mawala. even run in hard drive mag loading pman gani. hahah bandwidth and transfer rate goes higher and higher. mo tuo kog wala na ang loading if ang ps4 hardware mag run og ps2 games. kana noon reasonable.
- exclusives are just business strategy. BUT naa ghapon mo break hehe like RE Revelations, Mass Effect.. etc.
-

its not yet time!!! ueheheheh
maybe after 2 years..
more on the news ---> PS4 Will Cost About USD $400, Claimed Japanese NewspaperAsahi Shimbun, one of Japan’s biggest newspapers, has run an interesting story – translated by The Verge -- indicating that the PlayStation 4 will cost over 40,000 Yen, or about $430
The PS3 is still very alive and games are still coming. i just think it is still not the right time to buy one.

il stick with my family computer if ingon ani ka mahal.
1st - PS4 is going to require an internet connection.
Every game you buy must be locked into a PSN account.
2nd - For used games, this means it will only be a demo version or restricted game version. must pay to unlock into your PSN account.
3rd- Won't be backwards compatible with PS3 games.
piracy are evil, it's good for the company/developers, used games are bad, who plays without internet connection, blah blah blah....
sobra na toh. boycott for me.
btw, this also applies for xbox 720.
