hello mga gurus / first of all newbie lang ko sa motor motor but I have my bike for more than a year na / mangutana lang ko, Im planning to upgrade my engine to 59mm bore, cams, pulley and driveface then pipe. may nakita ako mio na medyo naka setup near our place, as Ive observed ok man ang dagan sa iya motor and it seems responsive, what catches my attention sa iyang bike is the open stock carb (gitang tang air filter box) / the bike really sounds good with that open carb paired with namban pipe.

questions are:

-dili bani prone na maguba ang engine if tang tangon air filter box sa stock carb or ok ra ni?

-do you think there are tweaks or modifications done on the carb for it to work without the air filter box?

- naa bay additional performance sa engine by doing this or pang pa isog lang ni sa sound sa motor hehehe?

yun lang mga sir / sorry pala Im still learning to talk the native tongue but you can reply in bisaya kay kasabot naman ko gamay hehehe... Salamat.

yes you can tune stock carb by changing the jetting.
This is called fine tuning but can make a big difference.
More air is always good as long as you adjust air/fuel ratio accordingly,
removing stock air box is standard tuning procedure.


Run it hard until it blows blue smoke...
then replace rings/piston/ bore and or get bigger bore kit....
