I hope all if not majority of the Cebuano's can read between the lines of Gwen's political maneuvering of being the oppressed wherein siya ang na convicted and suspended due to her own irresponsible actions.

Just over a month ago, suspended Governor Gwen Garcia promised never to vacate the Provincial Capitol and said (as newspapers reports suggest), her removal would only happen over her dead body.

But yesterday, January 30, 2013 Gwen decided to leave her office at the Provincial Capitol and broke her promise of never leaving.

Gwen is known to stand by her word, so what would so powerful as to make her break her pledge?

The answer is LOVE.

In many of Gwen's speeches, she has declared her love for Cebu and the Cebuanos. So therefore if she continued to imprison herself at the Provincial Capitol, it would mean that she would be depriving us (the Cebuanos) of her love.

Therefore if she stuck to her word and remained at the Provincial Capitol, it would be unfair, unkind, and unloving.... for it would rob the Cebuanos of her presence and inspiration.

In today's issue of the Cebu Daily News, an article titled Locked Out; it mentioned that...

"Garcia said the mayors of various towns and cities told her that people have been looking for her."

“I was told that the people missed me. I responded to their request to be with them,”


Although suspended Governor Gwen Garcia would have preferred to honor her pledge of not leaving the Provincial Capitol, this is what she said about leaving the office:

“My world suddenly expanded. Before I used to see walls. But now I can see the vastness of Cebu. It appears that I breathe a fresh air of freedom,” she said.
