Default Celdran found guilty in ‘Damaso’

It was the kind of court decision that—for some—could only please Padre Damaso.A Manila court on Monday found tour guide Carlos Celdran guilty of offending religious feelings when, dressed like Jose Rizal, he stood in front of the main altar of Manila Cathedral during an ecumenical service, shouted and raised a placard with the word “Damaso” on it.
In an eight-page decision, Metropolitan Trial Court Judge Juan Bermejo Jr. sentenced Celdran to a minimum of two months and maximum of one year in prison for violating Article 133 of the Revised Penal Code.
Celdran was protesting against the Church’s opposition to the reproductive health (RH) bill then pending in Congress. The measure was passed into law last year.
Damaso is a hated character in Jose Rizal’s novel “Noli Me Tangere,” which depicts the abuses of friars in the years of Spanish rule.

the law is there for a reason.. that is to respect religion and religios activity.. once again the keyword is RESPECT,
even if you believe or not believe in something, being a Mature person should practive tolerance and respect to others.

so if you guys cant understand the decision, like most of you are, then you should probably grow up and be Mature.
obviously some of the guys here in istorya are not mature yet.

please guys, even if you hate or dislike something, please show; tolerance, sensitivity and respect. thats the sign of being mature and human.

once again: its not about being religios or something, im not religios but i can consider myself mature enough to become tolerant and knows respect.

example: uns amay reaction nmo if mag masturbate ko sa atubangan on your wedding or baptism sa imo anak as my sign of free speech?

or what if I shit inform of people eating thier dinner and throw it at people and consider it a free expression and asign of protest.

i mean free speech or anything free has its boundaries, and the number one consideration should be to have RESPECT. on it.
ie. some of you are still young to realize what RESPECT is, ergo should not be participating in discussions like this, kay puros lang emotion ang inyu ipagawas..

be mature and grow-up, someof you needs time pa to realize this, butgrow up guys!

the bad part lang gud ato kay sa misa gyud mismo...and yes, it shows disrespect...
it's like spitting the food served in front of your host on his own house...

bisan nalang ug adto siya's gawas...or asa nga public place...
i remember John McClane in the middle of Harlem...
