@noy, bro naay pirmi nilang ipahibaw sa mga taw nga ang atong GINOO is a jealous God, in fact naa sa 10commandments, then how come nga magbuhat man sila(mga kaparian o church leader) ug daghan ampoan sa mga taw?
para nako, dako na kaau kog kahiubos sa simbahang katoliko thatswhy the last time i went to church was during my sons baptismal.. as i was wed in a civil court, i am highly banned to participate in any wedding event held by priest..

@ BOYEN ....
Daghan kaayo ang misinterpretations gyud ang mahitabo if we only look and understand unsay naka PRE PROGRAM na sa atong huna huna.
To answer your " CONFUSION " about foods being taken by RCC .... this is not out a verse because it is only rightful na i explain na siya because ang question was out of PRACTICES ra man pod, so here it goes from a priest I asked to get an insight personally.
Read on and understand it , no need to counter and refute it because there is no need to be DISCREDIT it kay you think we are wrong and you have the right answer..
It's an impression actually that we "VIOLATED", if they think STRICTLY, LITERALLY about the OT tradition. Religions with strict observance of the old law, more specifically those that adhere to the literal meaning of the old tradition, would surely 'accuse' RCC practices as "VIOLATION", therefore UNFAITHFUL to the Torah/Mosaic Law (priestly laws on purity--as contained in the Book of Leviticus. Book of Leviticus [from the word 'Levi' or 'Levite', meaning priestly, temple ministers) contain the laws, precepts, tenets about priestly or temple rules and functions expected to be followed by every Jew, esp. on matter of purity].
On Acts of the Apostles, St. Luke describes in certain accounts about the tension of the Christian Jews and the newly converted Christians who were formerly Gentiles (considered pagans). The issue at hand was again--PRACTICES OF PURITY, CIRCUMCISION (again about purity), wherein the CHRISTIAN JEWS were insisting on continuing the purity practices though they were already converted to the new CHRISTIAN religion; thus, they insisted that the GENTILES should follow and do the same--them to be circumcised as well like any other Jew. The response of the Apostles and that includes St. Paul (as reflected in his writings, ex. Letter to the Romans) emphasized not anymore on the PURITY PRACTICES as practiced externally (ex. circumcision, eating of food/meat with blood) BUT ON THE CONVERSION OR PURITY OF THE HEART. In other words, what you gonna hear from JESUS in the Gospels, as written by the writers Luke, Mark, Matthew, John and St. Paul in his many letters, is ABOUT THE GOOD NEWS of LOVE, COMPASSION, HEALING & RECONCILIATION, ABUNDANCE OF LIFE, COMPANIONSHIP, RESPECT, JUSTICE, EQUALITY, etc--which all are found, based, anchored, sourced on SPIRITUAL AND INTERNAL QUALITIES, not external or superficial practices. Jesus changes the mindset, way of doing things, practices, and renewed an old tradition and make them attuned to the signs of the times. HE WAS NOT CONTRADICTING THE O.T. TRADITION: Jesus was just realizing and perfecting the OT promise. (Remember JESUS IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE OLD LAW or PROMISE in the OT? So, he perfected what was in the old and made it NEW--emphasizing the essential one--CONVERSION of the person THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT--MEANING INTERNAL, what's inside, not anymore external).
Hence, in the Catholic Church our teachings are based on the NEW TEACHING that emphasizes the RENEWAL OF THE HEART--more internal conversion, rather than the external practices. In fact, Jesus himself said that what taints, impurities us within is not from the outside (food, like baboy which is considered dirty animal, with blood--pinoys like "dinuguan" RIGHT ? ) but what comes from within (heart, mind), from what comes out of our mouth. So, our Catholic (and Mainstream Protestant) purity practices is focused on renewal of the heart, practices of charity, doing what is right and just, being compassionate to our neighbors, esp. the least of our brothers and sisters, etc. THESE ARE ALL ANCHORED on JESUS' MESSAGE OF LOVE--the Good News. Our cleansing practices are not anymore focused on EXTERNAL MANIFESTATION but CLEANSING, RENEWING, IMPROVING, HEALING OUR INTENTIONS, MINDSET, THINKING, BEHAVIOR, ATTITUDE. This is very essential to our religion, this is what Jesus has been teaching us--"WHAT YOU DO TO THE LEAST ON MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, YOU DO IT TO ME" as Jesus said.
We are faithful to JESUS CHRIST because we believe, we rejoice, and we practice HIS TEACHING OF LOVE--which is more on action of love guided by the Holy Spirit (Love of God and Love of Neighbor), than just mere practicing traditions that has already lost their meanings. THE O.T. IS NOW SUPERSEDED BY THE COMING OF JESUS; the Old is in the past now, ours is with JESUS--THE ALPHA AND OMEGA: he was promised in the past, JESUS IS THE PRESENT AND HE WILL BE THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD.
At end of the day, what matters is the good things you do to others, especially the least in our midst, because that goodness emanates and comes from WITHIN you, which is a gift of God.
