    @acescream

about Jesus not being ALL-knowing, if your referring about His statement that
no one knows about the 2nd coming except for the Father. let me post a link for another perspective.

Scripture Catholic - THE SECOND COMING

NOTE: this is not to convince you or anything but just so you get another perspective.
'cause unless you believe Jesus is God then none of the things discussed on the link would mean to you.

the main reason why this Festval exists is remembering that we(Filipinos) were pagans once
and accepted Christiany and with this new faith, we rejoice.

the drinking, parties and getting wasted are just how people celebrate i guess
though i personally find them inappropriate...
i mean we can drink and celebrate right?why do we have to get wasted? definitely a miss on why this Festival existed in the First place.
what does Jesus think about the getting wasted part? i'd rather not say...
kay kahibaw naman guro ta tanan unsay tubag..hihihi

does it follow the literal teachings of Jesus? of course you woudn't see that in the Bible that Jesus said pagsinulog mu..hehehe
but does Sinulog offend Jesus? i don't think so esp the events or the things we do that focuses on the Sto.nino as an act of Thankfulness to God for bringing Christianity to us through the Spaniards who according to History brought the first image of the Holy Child.

and break, Sto. Nino is not an idol.
hehehe, nice bro and I respect your views @noy.
Sorry if na mention nako about Sto. Nino as an idol. Nag refer lang ko sa verses about ani gud

    Psalms 135
15The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.

    16They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot see;

17they have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths.

18Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.

Another question.....daghana aning para sa Pope uie hehhe...just asking ha?

Is there a big difference between teachings of Jesus Christ and the Pope?

Affixed to a column at the corner of the Orsini Palace in Rome at the beginning of the sixteenth century was the following comparison between Christ and the Pope:

Christ said: "My kingdom is not of this world." The Pope conquers cities by force.
Christ had a crown of thorns. The Pope wears a triple diadem.
Christ washed the feet of his disciples. The Pope has his kissed by kings.
Christ paid tribute. The Pope takes it.
Christ fed the sheep. The Pope shears them for his own profit.
Christ was poor. The Pope wishes to be master of the world.
Christ carried on His shoulders the cross. The Pope is carried on the shoulders of his servants in liveries of gold.
Christ despised riches. The Pope has no other passion than for gold.
Christ drove out the merchants from the temple. The Pope welcomes them.
Christ preached peace. The Pope is the torch of war.
Christ was meekness. The Pope is pride personified.
Christ promulgated laws that the Pope tramples underfoot.

Cenxa karon pa akong manners, kana laging noob kau ta aning mga forum2x.

challenging nang mubo nga explanation pero i'll try my best bro.

akong gibasa kining isaiah 45.5 bro,, ingun dire nga "i am the Lord,, there is no other god

ang GOD the FATHER gitawag nga lord unya si JESUS kay gitawag man pod nga Lord so mura rag pwd pod diay sya tawgon natog GOD? si GOD is lord ug si JESUS is lord so pareho silang GOD pero kay usa raman ang GOD so i means ang AMAHAN ug si JESUS kay "USA RA?"

    sakta ba bro?

If it's not too much bro pwede usa-usahon nimo ug butang ug ebidensya sa mga nakaplastar ngari nga mga negative qualities sa Pope? Which pope? Before mi mo answer sa first question.

representations are not idols break. unless we make a representation of a cow and worship it or a golden calf
or anything under the sun and make it our god.

Don't you know that sometimes our POVs can be our idols too? Lol

    @ ACESCREAM ...

I firmly believed now that you were able to express your thoughts maski OFFTOPIC in nature.

I do hope it would be the last one .

I would be glad to hear a question from you and I would personally answer it for you.

No more SPOILER , NO MORE TRANSLATIONS , NO MORE POV's , NO MORE ARGUMENTS , NO MORE INTERPRETATIONS ok , sabot ta daan . You ask , I will answer .

An honest to goodness question from you maski kapila na siya gi balik balik na sa other Christian denominations ug manipulate and use as a tactic to discredit RCC , still I will explain the answers SOLELY BASED from the MAGISTERUM of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH .

Also .... before I forget .... if its not too hard to ask . Unsa na CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS mo ?

    - SIODENZ
    - ACESCREAM
    - BREAKEVEN

Specific lang ha , by saying BORN AGAIN or NON CATHOLIC is seriously , a very NOT INTELLIGENT ANSWER.

That way , when I get questions in the future , I would know why you guys were able to come up or why you asked that specific questions . Thank you !
