yeah, it is seldom to kill a CPU unless, it is a victim of too much OC w/out proper cooling... if the "eraser method" can not fix it, use a contact cleaner. you can buy it from ACE HW or any electronics supply...

sa new mobo nimo, naka on ang Speed Step ana maong 1.6 GHz ra ang iyahang i-display if idle sya then full speed @ 2.5 GHz if mag load sya. normal lang na...

hmm CPUs rarely go bad unless it was a victim of a botched OC'ing.
make sure those little gold contacts are clean, do eraser rub thingy.
does the seller still have the original m/b, maybe u can borrow that and test it.
u can also do the suggested steps posted above me.

wla na nako ang mobo boss, nahalin na...
but pag ibot ana running na cya... never tried OC'ed d pud ko khbaw ana.
then tambay a few months... help pud ko posting here why naka encounter cya engani nga prob.
ky kng mo sell ko, e state gyud nko kng defective, like ato AMD nako...

by the way, unsa ang CPU gamit ron sa 3rd & 4th mobos as you've said that these 2 are working fine now. Also, can you give the details of your memory modules? what is the brand, type and speed? are the mem modules double or single sided? how many mem modules did2 you use? are they of the same brand, type & speed?

do different kind of test runs, ig every test nimo different ang mga components pang gamiton then do the process of elimination para pag sulbad sa problem.

ALREADY DID THAT, i eleminateed 3 different types of MOBO, 3 different HDD, 2 different PSU, and 3 different RAMS, and 2 HSF..

nag check ko sa site sa Asus for your mobo... mao ni ang naa sa site nila... pwede ma check nmo ang Bios sa mobo... naa man duha na revisions ang E5200...

ang sa ECS site, wla nag mention ug E5200 CPU support... im sure, not updated ang site. try to flash your mobo BIOS' to the latest version...


then supposedly, those last 2 mobos on G41 chip set have the latest BIOS revision that would support the E5200 CPU... mura'g naa'y lain culprit ana dah... try gamit ug another DDR3 ram module...

naa'y kingston DDR3 na intended for AMD ang chips nya. mag problema if gamiton pares ug intel chip sets like Q45, G45, G31 & G41 chip sets. naka encounter ko ani diri. gi specify gyud sa seller na pang AMD sya ug VIA chip sets... then wla man ko mo tuo... nag try man gyud ko sa intel chip set mobo nko (G31 ug G41), ang resulta, mo error sya... dili stable... pero, inig padagan lang nko ug Prime95 mo gawas ang error. wla gyud ko naka experience ug BSOD... dili pareho sa ani na symptom ang akoang na experience pud na mo hang ang system/rig. akoang gi uli sa seller unya gi ilisan nya ug kingston value ram that's 100% compatible for intel chip sets. after ani, the rig was running stable... burn-in nako ug 168 hrs (1 week) non-stop using Prime95... mao diay ni ang SOP nako after a PC DIY... para ma check nko ang stability sa rig even on stock speed lang...

akoa ning gi google ni na klase na mga mem modules pero, wla man ko'y info na nakuha... maybe, those ram modules were manufactured by the copy cats here in the main land... i don't know for sure... physically, genuine kaayo sya... even the blister pack and the prints... wla lang nko ma tan-aw gyud ang label nya under sa microscope da... tsk tsk tsk... akoang gi verify to na model sa kingston online verifier kay genuine man pud...
