It's so good. Full of hope..and lesson no. 5, as what Pi said, "don't lose hope."

Even when God seemed to have abandoned me, he was watching. Even when he seemed indifferent to my suffering, he was watching. And when I was beyond all hope of saving, he gave me rest. Then he gave me a sign to continue my journey.

Best quotes sa movie, nindot gyud kaayo, worthy kaayo imong gibayad sa sine.

“The theme of this movie can be summarized in three lines. Life is a story. You can choose your story. And a story with an imaginative overlay is the better story.”

I agree with you bro, this is one of my fave lines from the movie...

I noticed that Indian films or those mixed with indian culture are highly philosophical as what I observed from the Indian films I've watched (3 idiots, kabikuchi kabiko, slum dog millionaire and this one).

The graphics are very very good....

the plot? Not so, for me there are already some give aways...for example:

Pi discovers a tooth inside a flower = it's just too cliche

Pi with the urangutan, zebra, haina and the tiger = in the food chain cycle of course zebra and urangutan gets to be eaten by the haina, and the haina gets eaten by the tiger...another cliche if you ask me

End part of the money = he got married to a different girl, when he promised that indian girl that she will come back for her.

gerard depardieu played a very minimal role while he got bigger credits on the opening and end part of the film.

So all in all I would give it 7 out of 10.
