If there's any console that needs saving, it's the VITA. Vita's horrible sales is tracking even lower than the Dreamcast and is approaching sales levels of the Wonderswan.

hmm...makatabang jud ni ang pokemon sa 3ds sales mga brad..pero i dont get the "save" part..the 3ds already surpassed the first year sa sales sa DS..katong only 8 months pa ang 3ds sa market..and the 3ds has been outselling the vita on both MEdiacreate (Japan) and NPD numbers(north America)..nalapawan naman gani sa 3ds ang lifetime sales sa PS3 sa Japan which has been on the market for 6 years na ang 3ds wla pa kaabot 2 years..pokemon will be the final nail on the coffin sa vita..lol..joke

it's very obvious you haven't kept up to date with console sales. But I'd like to hear what made you say "3DS' sales needs to be saved"?

3DS has been outselling the VITA at a high ratio for more than half a year already. VITA dead jokes are not even funny anymore. So it baffles me how someone can say 3DS' sales needs to be saved at this point. Maybe in Europe, but console sales in Europe are pretty much low, especially handhelds.

it did. but DS is back on top, and I doubt the 3DS can reach DS sales this time.

ColeMaGrath, look at sales numbers. number of units sold. software sold. 3DS does not to be saved! "Saving" would imply that it is in trouble, but it is not.

It's tracking below than the DS, but that's because the market has changed. The 3DS is doing well relative to the market that it is in now.

again, look at the sales numbers. if you want to talk about sales. look at the sales numbers.

What needs to be saved is the VITA!

3DS wins because of its exclusive games. Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon, Mario and much more.

the system saw a huge boost in sales, especially following this recent holiday season - and not long following its price cut, it finally reached a point where it was no longer being sold at a loss. Its library has grown from pretty good to pretty incredible, and with the promise of Pokemon X and Y, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fire Emblem Awakening, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and who knows what else heading our way in the months to come, it will only continue to grow and prosper. And we’ll be there every step of the way - especially if Nintendo gives us a peek at a 3DS Zelda or Metroid before year end.

I hope the starters don't evolve in to fighting pokemons. i'm not sure, but the grass one looks like it would evolve similar to treecko since it is standing in two legs. Xerneas looks good but it's disappointing since it is another deer (stantler, deerling). Plus, we already have a deer-like legendary, Arceus. Nitpicky! LOL

Looks like they're expanding the pokemon alphabet--X as in Xatu, X as in Xerneas

they're running out of colors!
