OT @ CROSS EYED CYCLOPS ....

That is true , many are what we call PRACTICAL CATHOLICS instead of being DEVOUT CATHOLICS but reading the bible alone does not at all give you justification of knowing the truth. It will transform you into a " FUNDIE " and that is due to the nature of the bible being interpreted by the person reading it unless you have behind you the guidance and authorities of the bible.

I have not seen the documentary you are talking about but I also know the HISTORY of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH with references from different authors and source of literatures and lessons form people deem knowledgeable, experts and authorities of RCC. If you are talking about the timeline of Pepin the Short and his connection with RCC then it would be a different storybecause that itself has its own story why such occurence occured.

Unlike the commercialized media as our medium , I certainly reserve it for entertainment purposes and not entirely for sources of knowledge . Do you remember how the GNOSTIC and FALSE GOSPELS were portrayed by NATGEO and made it so believable that daghan mga tao nangalikoy ang utok ?

Regarding the corruption and politics issue , that is true. But we can not at all leave everything to the state since time immemorial and we also know that ang mismo ang STATE ang cge ug duol sa CHURCH. Not the other way around. Do you even know why there is such a big POWER STRUGGLE in the VATICAN right now ?

These and all are history , sad truth and reality yet it does not undermine of what the TRUE TEACHINGS of the CHURCH are all about. It will remain like that , it will stay like that just how it is for the last 2000 years.

i agree reading the Bible is not enough but knowing wala jud basa2x halos tanan then it will guide them. the truth of the gospel has been made simple actually. we don't have to go through all the history of every religion kay mulabad ra ato ulo. even the RCC has evolved and dili na katu traditional jud. kay i don't think daghan katoliko ron if naglatin pa ta ug ang pari ray kasabot unsa ang gi-yaw2x. hehehe. the kind of worship karon kay dili na pareha sa una. naa nasad si bo sanchez nga pareha sa protestant mo hatag ug messages which is good because we are being fed with words nga naay meaning kaysa kasagaran sa pari nga balik2x ra ang istorya unya if kataw-anan maoy sikat. hehe.

i believe God is moving in different churches. so let's all be united.

Anything can happen inside the Church, even priests and bishops celebrating Mass had been assasinated. We just have to cite Bishop Oscar Romero of El Salvador as an example.. Evil can happen everywhere but if we ask why does God allow it to happen even in his own house then it is because of the freewill that God gave man. Despite all evil, God is just there although he may not lift a finger because he doesn't intervene a lot in human affairs, especially in the situation you've mentioned.

Then let God be our judge if we are wrong.

Why should you, a mere mortal like us, who doesn't share our faith, judge us?

Naa man. It is celebrated in some churches although I have attended once pa lang.
I think it is regularly celebrated in the Church of Mary Mediatrix in Brgy. San Jose,
Talamban, Cebu City. The church belongs to the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate.

Like I said , the evolution only took place on what is adaptive and practical to the real world and modern times but the TEACHINGS remain intact since it was established .

I have yet to know someone who actually USES the 2 EARS than their only MOUTH . When one dont read the bible but understands it heartily from what was being preached , it is sufficient enough to know the BIBLE because just like its existence, it was INSPIRED by GOD written by MEN. The problem is , who are these men ( false prophets ) in the modern times.

Knowing HISTORY actually creates UNDERSTANDING instead of CONFUSION .

Take the case of PROSTESTANTS , I have lots of friends in different denominations but saying TEACHINGS and TRADITIONS are wrong is simply not the right thing to do would be ridiculous . Why ? Their very existence itself violates of what they believed in. Though I am not here for that since I am trying to make the THREAD a THREAD of INFORMATION to those who have questions towards RCC.

Do you have any questions towards the RCC instead of a discussion ?

God's own house? Do you think, evil can step into the house of God, or Kingdom of God? Do you think if the church is God's house, mahitabo ng mga ingon ana? dili ba makapaduda kung sa Ginoo ba gyud ang simbahan, nga iyaha ba gyud ng balai?
