TagaMlang:
A Bell attack helicopter (Bell AH-1 Cobra) is worth about $11.3M (1995). The AH-1 was the backbone of the United States Army's attack helicopter fleet. I don't know if this has similar price and capability as the MG 520.
At present price, maybe the AH-1 Cobra will cost about $12-13M.
Each congressman has a pork of P70M/year. Each Senator has a pork of P200M/year.
Let's assume we can get 50% of these porks to buy AH-1 Cobra. How many can we buy per year?
For the 250 congressmen, the 50% is about P8.75Billion. For the 24 Senators, the 50% is P2.4B, or a total of P11.15Billion. At an exchange rate of P42/$1, it is $265.476Million. At $13M each, we can buy 20 AH-1 Cobra attack helicopters.
