dapat lang.. trust me.. daghan na au ko napahilak nga mama kay ang student wala nag tarong.. kung dili jud gusto sa kurso, mas maau shift nalang.. sayang ra au time and effort kung dili kinasingkasing ang pag study.

ex. like sa mga nursing students before nga napugos mag nurse tungod kay mao daw uso sa gawas..

not really a necessity, but this is also somehow a way of thanking your parents for what they did for you...
sure you can argue nga daghan ug ways, pero this is also a way of thanking them, kay bsag dili nila mapakita, deep down they're proud of you and of themselves that they managed to raise you as a fighter!

I have to agree. Why spend thousands of pesos for a piece of paper. If you want to obtain skills/knowledge for your career plans, you can use books. I have a friend before, a graduate of BA major in marketing, we met again in some place, i ask him about the course then he told me nothing but a bunch of useless and off topic things. Damn, he invested his parent's money for nothing. What a waste. USE THE POWER OF BOOKS PEOPLE!

True, but in the real world parents would be more proud if you can manage to have a good life without a degree (Rich of course) Imagine family dinner with friends, then your father introduces you to them and say " My son/daughter manages to have a good life without a degree" then they complement them for raising a dependent son/daughter. that's a huge success!

When people, especially students, say that college degree is not a necessity, what they actually mean is that they hate school or are just lazy enough to go to school.

You should quit school if you are:

..a better boxer than Manny Pacquiao
    ..more intelligent than Bill Gates
..have better business acumen than Henry Sy

If you're not, then better stay in school and finish a degree. The chances of people not having degrees succeeding in life is very slim. And one of more note, people like Bill Gates are just one in a million. If they were able to make it so big, the population of people who are as big as them with degrees or finished school is greater. Do the math.
