i wud rather choose attending the Pinning rather than Oath-taking though nindot unta ky ari ka hurar sa imo kaugalingon to service but ambot na unsa nman na wa na meaning ni. i cnt remember even kung ni attend ba ko adto oi.
Hi everyone heheh.
Pa member lng japon mo ug PNA maski maka ingon ta na dili kayo nato ma appreciate ilang effort, kelangan nato magpa member kay required sya sa mga hospitals here in the country. Aside from that they are our Mother organization, if and when (God Forbid) naa tay mali sa area and legal issues will arise, it will be PNA who will help us… heheh
Anyways, aside from PNA membership, I would suggest pa member din kayo sa mga nursing specialty organizations. After you graduate, think of an area in clinical nursing, na gusto nyo talaga, then mag training kayo jan. When I graduated wayback in 2007 nag risk jud ko anhig manila para mangitag gwapo na training.
Dra sa cebu, you can go for Perioperative Nursing then apply kayo agad sa ORNAP, or you can also be a renal nurse like me heheh training kayo ng Dialysis Nursing, or kung gusto nyo naman may action, be a Critical Care Nurse training kayo sa ER/ICU/CCU then pa member kayo sa CCNAPI.
Mas mayo nga naa moy certain specialization, kay sa gawas preferred nila ang mga nurse nga nay gi specialize ( I dunno if mo agree si Ms. Vienzel with this) eheheh
Don’t be discourage kung karon walay work available for Nurses, pohon naa nay work for all of us. Hehehe basta just be patient.. heheh
Hope this helps…heheh
though it is not required to have a specialized area BUT it is always a GOOD point on ur end everytime you will apply for a job. surely humot gyud ka kaau kung naa ka ani na mga qualifications. bisan unsa pa ka different ato practice dha sa ato-a but u r a bit updated with whatever trainings available or exposure, mau gyud ug impression imo pangalan.
bisan mo ingon pa ang uban na naa employers labi na ang desperate na gyud mo hire that they dont need experience pero di gyud nimo gihapon ma erase ang traditional na process sa hiring, meaning mo matter gihapon ang experience.
i made a personal comparison on this because wen i started, i didnt have a specialty exposure or much experience sa clinical area. at first i was overwhelmed during my first few months. i was so stressed out most of the time. i have only relied on what i have learned and studied. yet, i have kept an open mind for learning (incl. accepting errors) based on their standards and somehow the adjustment went ok.
so go ahead gyud mo watever it takes to make urself well presentable with regards to qualifications. u got nothing to lose anyways...
@ts: wala man to requirement dati...pay raka 300 man guru to...pero ato na time daghan mi kauban after registration sa prc nagPNA daun mi...

This is not to discourage, but the truth is clear out there.
It's either you stand-up for your profession and waste precious time in waiting... or find another alternatives out there aside from nursing.
Even me, if I have to relinquish my profession as an engineer in exchange for survival and greener pastures, I will gladly do it.
I totally agree. I am a registered nurse and I don't believe that going out of Philippines is the only way for you/us, nurses, to have opportunities.
If we can't see that much opportunities, I believe we, nurses, can create our own opportunities. We're in an ocean of opportunities and nurses are that great! [narcissistic mode. haha!]
You can do side jobs that doesn't require much time while doing your nursing care plans if your still a student. You can do small businesses if you are already working as a Nurse. I really look up to nurses, especially, with how they take care of their patients. I want to help "us". Here's one of the opportunity you can take advantage and is slowly growing widespread. You can have an online business, have a website, write your own story, inspire a lot of people, make it a blog and most importantly, EARN FROM IT! here's my own website: Jake Rentuma | Smile and everything will follow. Move forward Nurses!![]()
