There are straight couples who don't even want to have kids. Its not everybody's dream to grow up and have a family. Some people simply choose other things like career, less stress in life, etc. You don't have to be lesbian or gay not to choose to not have a family. There are also gay couples who want kids as well, but they don't go around looking for men just because they want to have one. There are a lot of options available now where gay couples can have kids without a male/female partner. Those who look for men/women are simply not lesbian/gay. They realized they just preferred straight partners, and there is nothing wrong with either of that.
