movie Dumbledore was pretty pathetic. at least in the books he was a badass, especially the fight at the MoM. he was always a step ahead of Voldemort. otoh in the movies, he kept falling down and looked really feeble. it was sad and annoying since that was the best fight in the books and they ruined it.

Balrog's are Maiar corrupted by Morgoth, Sauron's master. and unless Dumbledore has powers equivalent to a Valar or Maiar or even at least a High Elven then he won't be beating Gandalf or any Balrog.

Dumbledore is great and skilled, but he is just a mere mortal.
