It's okay relatively but as a CG animated action movie medyo 'stale' siya kung ikukumpara mo sa 'The Incredibles'.
I guess the problem has to be in the story itself.
There were a lot of loopholes in the story that Splinter would think it swiss cheese and eat it. I woudn't be enumerating these now kay it'll be spoiling the story for those who would watch it up. But iyun nga, the movie makes me ask some questions and present loose ends without getting any answers or resolutions. Anyway, there's the sequel, I believe.
One major theme I've noticed and find weak is the movie is all about reminiscing and returning things the way they were in the past when they worked or were ideal. And I guess that didn't sit well with me kay I was expecting a lot of changes and new differences in this new installment of the TMNT franchise.
If we remember that Raphael's temper caused trouble for them in the first flick, so it is the same way here. Come on, let go of the past, move on with the future.
And some of the characters did not get their prime due. (yes I am biased, Donatello is my favorite turtle and I loved his way of using gadgets and genius to get out of trouble. Didn't see that here.)
And there are only a few intense, drawing-you-to-the-edge-your-seats action sequences, I mean come on. This is an action film, I hoped for some major action!
So I give this film an "OK na lang".
