Idunno both wizards are not very kick ass. Well, I have not read any of the books and I'm basing this on the films.

The only remarkable magic Gandalf's done in the LotR trilogy of films was make the rock on his staff glow bright--not an amazing spell--it's like distracting someone with a flashlight to their eyes. As for Dumbledore, he willingly sacrificed himself instead of fighting back--him being a powerful wizard and headmaster of a wizardry school. Also, apparently, the wizards and witches in the Harry Potter universe are powerless once disarmed of their wands.

I haven't seen Dumbledore fought hand in hand with hordes of orcs using his stick or small sword. Gandalf wins. The S.O.A.B. is not human.
