    Question: "What are the Gnostic gospels?"

    Answer:
    The Gnostic gospels are writings by early "Christian" Gnostics. After the first century of Christianity, two primary divisions developed - the orthodox and the Gnostics. The orthodox Christians held to books we now have in the Bible and to what is today considered orthodox theology. The Gnostic Christians, if they can truly be described as Christians, held a distinctly different view of the Bible, of Jesus Christ, of salvation, and of virtually every other major Christian doctrine. However, they did not have any writings by the Apostles to give legitimacy to their beliefs.

    That is why and how the Gnostic gospels were created. The Gnostics fraudulently attached the names of famous Christians to their writings, such as the gospel of Thomas, the gospel of Philip, the gospel of Mary, etc. The discovery of the Nag Hammadi Library in northern Egypt in 1945 represented a major discovery of Gnostic
    gospels. These Gnostic gospels are often pointed to as supposed "lost books of the Bible."

    So, what are we to make of the Gnostic gospels? Should some or all of them be in the Bible?

    No, they should not. First, as pointed out above, the Gnostic gospels are forgeries, fraudulently written in the names of the Apostles in order to give them a legitimacy in the early church. Thankfully, the early church fathers were nearly unanimous in recognizing the Gnostic gospels as promoting false teachings about virtually every key Christian doctrine. There are countless contradictions between the Gnostic gospels and the true Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The Gnostic gospels can be a good source for the study of early Christian heresies, but they should be rejected outright as not belonging in the Bible and not representing the genuine Christian faith.

    bro, if the original Christianity (school) did not survive abolition and persecution, ug wala ni exist hangtud karon, then wala unta makaingon nga gitudlo gyud na ni Jesus ang naa sa Gnosticism. Gnosis means knowledge, it is not a belief.

Sumala gud, nasuwat ba ang bible during the lifetime of Jesus? they were not supposed to be written but gusto lagi kaayo sa mga Romans, nasulat and nagamit gyud nila. But the real teachings that were supposed to be secret only, na publish sa bible. Bisan pa ug nganlan nimo ug fake ang original Christianity bro, it is still the original and authentic Christianity that Jesus the Christ was the master teacher. Unlike sa inyong Christianity nga Saul/Paul version. dili na lng nako nganlan ug fake, original lng gihapon pero Paul origin.
    sakto gyud ka Jovi; We all know your Christianity and who your God is...it is not the same God as the bible told us which the real and authentic truth.

    Bro kung imo jud sabton ang occult practices, sa una ranang panahon ni exist even before sa time ni Jesus Christ, daghan occult practice bro in mystery babylon....tungod lang it is kept in secret mao dili kayo mo yagyag sa society. But this time nga murag dili na ninyo matabang ang nanggawas sa internet pagreveal sa mga taw nga diha gikan.....you are making an escape para credible gihapon paminawn.

    Ngan ramay nindot ana bro, pero dili man tingali na makaluwas nimo? For us, its the relationship with the Lord through the Holy Spirit. Nagtuo sad diay ka nga ang mga Christians walay knowledge? Surely atong knowledge bro is contradicting kay we have this knowledge of LIFE in Jesus Christ while imoha is the knowledge of LIFE by your own self.....paningkamot lang maayo sa imong belief bro para maluwas ka!

    @jovi

    greatest liar in history is Saul/Paul.
    Dili kaha ang imong teacher bro kay sa imong ka inosente sa kamatuoran sa bibliya, nahatag nimo imong kalag anang pagtuo sa REINCARNATION?

    Compare your self daw with Apostle Paul. Despite of his earthly possession iyang gibiyaan tanan only to follow the Lord.

    Paul was a well-educated, dedicated and conscientious member of the Jewish leadership who aggressively sought to destroy the Christian church. God had his own plans for Paul and, soon, Paul was just as aggressive in spreading the message of the Christ to the Gentile world.

    His missionary trips and epistles had a tremendous influence on the early church. The fourteen letters which survive today are still highly influential in the modern church. Many Christians look at God's use of Paul's life as an example of how they can also be used to serve God and spread Jesus' message of salvation.
