An answer to your 1st paragraph;
The noun "christian" is a biblical term (acts 11:26). Is the same bible who mentioned that we cannot be someone else aside of being "christian" (a man belonging to Christ) "Where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free man, but Christ is all and in all." (Col 3:11). The Apostle Paul himself also says this way "For when someone says, I am of Paul, ...are you not men of flesh?"(1 Cor 3:4). So muhangyo ko nimu nga insaktuhun nimu ang imo pangutana nako. Because, to ask me if I am a Paulian Christian is a wrong question, because I cannot be a "Paulian". "And what is Paul? Minister through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave..."(1 Cor 3:5). Because according to Paul His teaching does not originated from him (For him to have Paulinians that belongs to him) but from the Lord, Paul said "For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you (1 Cor 11:23). You are seperating the confusion between knowledge and belief. Jovs, kung dili ka mutoo sa bible nga kasaligan sya as source of knowledge for a belief it's up to you, but a christian (as was called in the bible) is believer because the bible was written based on facts and reality that's why the bible says that "God..desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:4). Even without investigating history in artifacts and infallible proofs, just by reading the bible, you will realize that there is no other book that can compare the bible. Its content is incomparable (Here I'm not stating a belief, but an appreciation). I hope you can get a copy of the bible and read it.

Jovs, I'm sorry again but I have to contradict you with this to help you. The bible is actually complete to "fully know the certainty of the things" (Luke 1:4). However it does not include those are not needed because "if they were written one by one, I suppose that not even the world itself could contain the books written." (John 21:25). But the bible in completeness was "written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing, you may have life in His name."(John 20:31) So what was written in the bible is what is enough for a man who believes into to have life eternal, which life is the life of God. Ang rason nganu walay labot ang supposed gnostic gospels sa bible, dili tungod kay para dili ta makasabot sa bible kung wala kay labot sa orig christianity(Kalatawan nang argumentuha), kung dili tungod sukwahi maning gnostic books sa consistency sa bible. As I have said sa first post nako, the gnostic books teaches a different Christ which was already revealed in the bible.
