Guy-gay close friend

I have this friend, he's gay
i've known him since 1st year in med school and we kinda are in the same barkada
The thing is he's a closet queen, which is really fine
but then this year, we started our internship somewhere in manila
since we're from the same group, we decided to be partners for our first 2 rotations until we had to change our groupings for our 3 rd rotation till the present
now the thing is, since he's not open about his sexuality, I noticed he's using me and our closeness as a cover up
Most people think we're an "item" because he makes them believe that we are

I used to ignore it coz I thought some people around just thought we might be together because we were often seen together, but then I realized my friend is playing along and is using ME to make everyone believe he's not gay...

after some time everytime someone asks I already correct them and tell them we're no more than friends...I'm not comfortable with the idea that he's using me to hide something... I tried to tell him about it pero murag Malain siya Kay ngano daw basig mahibaw-an siya...toinkz... I told him there's nothing wrong with being openly gay since most of our classmates are gay and they're well accepted by the society as such...
Pero he's not keen about the idea..

? Do you think I offended him by telling I'm not comfortable with him using our friendship to cover up his preference? Unsay mafeel ninyo Kung kamo?

It's easier said than done. Think about your own secrets. Do you merrily tell people about it? I doubt that.

The beauty behind "best friends" is the fact that you can tell them right in their faces why you think it sucks. Find time, and talk things out in private. Tell him you're not comfortable him using you as an excuse of his sexuality. You may hurt his feelings but he'll surely bounce back

Also, I don't think your opinion of him letting the world know that he's gay matters; after all, why would he be using someone to hide it? Just put yourself in his situation. I know it sucks and hard to understand but for 1 sec put yourself in his situation. As they say, "you need to be a gypsy to understand a gypsy."

He's got some issue with his frat..bawal daw ang bading.. And he's really not open to the idea of coming out.. I dunno.. Told him there's nothing wrong with, he deserves to be free..

You're right.. It's easier said than done..plus i was having a hard time catching up with him these days coz we had different duties and posts..but when i did I talked to him.. It was awkward at first but I guess he understood my point..

kahibaw naman tingale na imong mga colleagues nga bayot siya TS, maybe way lang na nila nga mangutana about ninyong duha to confirm their gut-feel. diba mostly man kaha imo mga kauban kay bayot aw kahibaw nana sila ui trust me hahaha!
