hello,
gusto ko mangaply as QA / Tester...
Not all the times preferred ang with experience, but that would be an edge.
Sometimes man gud, when a company looks for a role, labi na entry level, they look for someone who they think is trainable enough. Personally, not to make offense, mas ganahan ko kanang wala pay work experience nga individual, then imo i-feed ang mga concepts and methodologies nga gusto nimo mapuno sa iya knowledge. I have been teaching a number of testing courses, then, i dont know, feel nako mas maretain sa mga fresh grads ang imo gipangtudlo. And mas sayon siya i-explain sa ila. Well, this may not be true at all times, but sa ako lang, majority inani gyud mahitabo sa mga testing classes.
However, ang kanang 'with experience' kinahanglan na cya sa mga higher level roles.
So, opportunities ra gyud ang kinahanglan nga mo-open. And mas nindot if ngadto ka sa area sa testing ma-allocate.
been a software tester in RD for 1 year and a half..cool kaau relax ang testers labi naay gating issue!![]()
Sir urejiack, pls invite me to one of your software testing courses beh coz I will be more than willing to attend.
Search lan sa net bro about basic software testing methodologies para naa kay idea. if sa IT imung background medyo dali nlan ang pagkat on sa testing. Ang main concern sa testing man gud is:
1. Kahibalo ka unsa imu gi test.
2. Kahibalo ka usaon nimu ug test.
if entry level ka nga tester, sayun raman sad imu task. hatagan kag application to test, nya i specify raman sad nila unsa imu buhaton. like me when i started sa Lexmark, software sa printer amu gi test. Pag start is naa nay Testcases or steps unsaon pag test, imu lan to i follow nya if sakto ang expected result, i record ra dayun nimu nga pass.
Example:
Objective:
-dapat maka print ug 100 copies.
Steps:
-i open ni nga word document
-i print nya select 100 copy
-nya wait until mahuman
-nya ipha ang gi print.
Expected:
-dapat 100 copies ang na print..
Ing ana ra ba... so if sugod paka ayaw lan sad kaayu i pressure imu self. Learn all basic lan sah nya if maka work na increase knowledge na dayun....
naa na diay ka SG rn ciodens?? tuo nako wala ka manimpad sa gawas.. walay tattoo dha?? lol..
@daredavid and @hemp_republic -
mga bro, sorry, i only teach testing courses and testing certification reviews for the testers sa current company nako karon.
Sakto si SioDenz, there are wealth of resources sa internet. Make use of it for a good start.![]()
acn man ka sir urejiak noh? naa diay software testing jobs diha sir? with experience ra ilang i hire sir?
Haha. I won't answer if i am in acn or not (coz its obvious enough, or my time in acn is now counted), but of course, acn has plenty of testing-related roles from a tester who does execution to a test management role. even managing directors handling global roles for testing are there.
As of the moment, there are no hiring for entry-level testing roles. I will give a heads-up on this thread if there will be. I have a feeling (note: this is personal, not officially from the company) that we will be needing entry-level testers next year as plenty will get promoted this march, and demands may increase. For testers with experience, i hope there will be hiring as accenture also tries to maintain the pyramid of levels.
Hope that helps.
But hey, there are lots of topnotch companies in Cebu who also hire entry level testers. NCR, NEC, Alliance, IBM, Lexmark, Tieto, and so many more. Try on applying. These can give you a good foundational experience.
