i agree with this..
we keep on scrutinizing china for their efforts to defend their homeland, or maybe, spawn a business in weapons distribution, but have we ever asked ourselves why our country can't even innovate, if not copy a simple air defense system?
we have guns in danao, but aren't some of the guns there, like gloc 17c are copied as well?
will there be such a thing as original when everything else has been invented before? say the patriot missile. china can come up with their own, and they'll still be called copies of a patriot system. but for them, the best alternative is something that they made themselves. maybe they can't afford products of other countries so they just have to create one on their own.

this country should pay more attention to internal conflicts before putting efforts at resolving external ones. internal conflict is broad. it involves graft and corruption, insurgents, minor conflicts pertaining to passage of bills, effective public service, etc.
what im saying is, though the global economy sees this country as vital investing ground, the overall picture is still blurry.
if such conflicts are resolved, maybe then, we can come up with a more effective approach. if we cant solve it ourselves, an invasion may awaken our senses.

did china ever thought of such sanction as well? copying is a step to innovation. if you copy something, it's hard to prove that you did copy it.
and if ma-sanction jud ta ana, it means that we achieve something. IMO
