The Micronizer is a patented technology developed in Canada for a variety of uses. Essentially it is a device that can accept any form of waste product and reduce it to very small particles. Asia Global Energy has an exclusive license to use this technology in Asia for use in Waste to Energy applications. This technology greatly increases the efficiency of the Thermal Depolymerization Process by allowing for a quicker transformation of the waste particles to fuel. This faster conversion increases the feedstock stream flow which results in more fuel being produced per ton of Municipal Solid Waste.
The Micronizer was initially developed for the mineral processing industry and was designed to take any material (including Granite) and pulverize it into a powder. The design is unique and features a patented technology that causes the fractured particles to be continually driven back into themselves. This process is called self-communition and it causes the particles to pulverize each other, which results in smaller particles without excessive wear on the inner surfaces of the machinery.
The Micronizer operates on the basis of a top feed input, and the material is initially fractured by a series of arms spinning around a central axis. Further stages reduce the material into a range of particle sizes. The exit particle size can be adjusted by changing the dwell time of these stages. The Micronizer has extremely low level maintenance requirements and can pulverize any item commonly found in a landfill. These features make it a perfect technology for preparing the waste for optimal conversion in the Transportable Thermal Conversion Facility.
