when we ask others to pray for us, is it already considered as NOT going directly to God?
mao bitaw akong gi example ganiha nga mu pa ampo man gani ta ug tao who is spiritually matured than us nga buhi pa makasala pa, how much more kadtong mga tao who led an exceptional Christian life..plus patay na, wala nay chance ma biased madugngan ang sala...in other words, much closer to God compared to the ones we consider spiritual advisors sa atong church,
regarding Jesus' representation
making a statue to be worshipped is absolutely wrong...
BUT worshipping the PERSON portrayed by the statue..is somrthing else and
i think theres nothing wrong with it...is it in the BIBLE?

if that's the case then we should NOT ask anybody to pray for us..
instead we just GO directly to Jesus..why ask our friends, pastor, ministers to pray for us when we can go directly to Jesus?
how many times did the bible mentioned about praying for each other?
does it mean that once a Christian is dead,we can no longer ask them to pray for us? when as a Christian we believe that death is not the end of us but merely the beginning of eternal LIFE?
Kung pulihan na si Jesus, like muignun ko nga san pedro calungsod...luwasa akong kalag, i love you! etc kana maoy klaro nga gipuliahan si Lord ana..
unsay difference sa muingun ko nimu psychemaster, i pray ko kay nagstruggle ko,pls pray for Jesus' light to shine upon me...ug muingun ko ni pedro calungsod
exactly the same things i asked you to pray me for...diba wala?except lang kay patay na siya ug ikaw buhi pa..

agree, talking does not really mean praying..therefore talking to saints does not mean we pray to them.
agree, praying is talking, that's why we pray to God when we talk to Him
are you saying that petition is already a form of prayer therefore bypassing God? then we are already praying when we say to our fellow Christians, pls for me,or for my son, or unta kapasar kos board exam or unsa pa na...diba petition pud na? when we talk to saints with petitions it's actually the same thing.
Like, san perdro calungsod, tabangi kog ampo nga kapasar kos exam ug grasya sa Ginoo nga makadawat kung di man gani..
mao btaw if you notice sa catholic church...like naay mag petition prayer before sa mass...muingun ang nagpray, st.joseph...motubag ang mga tao...pray for us,
st peter...and tubag pray for us...even sa Hail mary nga prayer,,,diba?
holy mary, mother of God...PRAY FOR US sinners...
therefore petition is NOT a prayer.

i think we both know the difference between talking and praying...
i hope and pray that Catholics will just talk and ask St.Calungsod to pray for them instead of actually praying to ST.Calungsod..
that is way out of my control...i am not sure if some Catholics actually pray to saints and is practicing idolatry...it is very possible though
BUT 1 things is FOR SURE, the Catholic Church DOES NOT teach
that we should pray to the saints, instead we ask them to PRAY FOR US..
Can the Saints really pray for us?let's see what bible has to say about it.
"And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints" (Rev. 5:

.
---so saints do pray..
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working (James 5:16)
---pa ampo gani tas mga migo ug miga nato...saints pa kaha?
And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.(Revelation 8:4 )
Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
---the work of a saint, and should be for every Christian.
I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf,
---even paul asks others to pray for him, when he can pray directly to God...
