Dec 25 is still the probable date of the birth of Jesus, and i think here's why...

look at this verse from Matthew 2:19-20

“But when Herod was dead, behold an angel of the Lord appears in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
saying, Arise and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are
dead that sought the young child’s life”

Herod was believed to have died 4 BCE, ‘coz it was the time when his sons subdivided the lands ruled by him

Titus Flavius Josephus tells us that Herod died after a lunar eclipse - 29 days before Passover.



looking at Matthew’s verse above, we can say that Jesus was born days or months before Herod was dead

if that is so then the passover of 5 BCE (which looking at the chart below was in March 21) which was the passover before Herod’s death was the time of the Annunciation and Visitation, which was between March 21 - 27



The Annunciation must've been a day before the passover depending on the distance of Mary’s house
to Elizabeth’s

3 months after the passover of 5 BC John the Baptist was born, (June, 5 BC)

and 9 months after the Annunciation, Jesus was born (Dec, 5 BC)

If this is so, then it is still 2007.. and ya, we still have 5 years more to go before the Mayan Apocalypse , hehehehe




so no more talks about we-wont-celebrate-it-coz-its-of-some-Pagan-roots, or that everyday-is-Christmas bonanza otherwise we would all go pordoy.
