Dili man sad tingali pasabot to be practical in some things need jud mo conform tanan2 diha sa bible, ato sad i-weigh ang application kung nathreaten/nakadistort ba sa imong relasyon sa Ginoo. Dili in ana ang mindset sa Christianity tanan bro.

gi kaon ra pod sa mga fundies ang ilang prinsipyo. another example of not walking the talk.

di man cguro importante kung early christians derived Jesus' birthday from pagan holidays, kay in return, they were also able to spread the
gospel which is the main goal of early Christians.
many present time Christians might consider this as a compromise of faith, however there is a thin line between compromise and reaching out
and the only solid basis if the act was either compromise or reaching out is by its fruits..
we know that Rome was a pagan Land, early Christians were even executed in Rome, but now, it is the center of Catholicism..
and besides, apart from pagan celebrations i think there are also scriptural, Archaeological, logical and other basis why ealry Christians considered dec25 as Jesus' birthday..(i guess most if not all of us know that this is just an approximate date)..

its like this, let's take persian pagan god mithra
whose story has incredible similarity with Jesus' story
    savior god,virgin birth, sacrificial death...etc..
but the problem with the persian god is that it is just a myth, stories of old.(it is even possible that the stories were derived from the messianic phrophecies)..
Jesus however had eye witnesses..esp during early Christianity...
so it would be easier for early Christians to relate the gospels to the pagan worshippers the story of Christ using their existing belief..
who knows? pagan worshippers are actually referring to the messiah when they talk about a savior god.. they just didn't know it is Jesus...
so perfect timing for shring the gospel...though it was not really a walk im the park, most early Christians had to be burned, stoned to death, eaten by lions.executed and even crucified.

Merry Christmas everyone!! birthdate is less important compared to the actual birth itself and the sacrifice that saved our souls...and besides, at least we get to celebrate something..Lol
