how to update to 5.0.1 / 5.1.1 on jailbroken device??

sa wlay lingaw and gusto motabang,, pwede sad ko pa PM ug steps? i have iphone 3Gs unlocked and jailbroken..4.1 pa ako OS gd , mocrash na occasionally and uwahi na kau ko sa mga apps..

P.S. if ako i update akong OS, madelete ang contents s ako phone? like mga SMS and contacts?

make back up sa itunes before mag upgrade

pwede pud ko pa PM kung unsaon. try kog update sa iOS sa iphone 4 from 4.1 (i know grabe ka outdated, walay update2 eversince) to 5.1.1 through iTunes (Macbook), naay error na "The iphone software update server could not be contacted"..nka jailbreak ni ako iphone. pwede step by step instructions bahalag sagol bisaya ug english para mas klaro. mag nosebleed mn ko sa mga forums na ako gina search via google.

bro.. if wa jd na cya na update to iOS5 di na ka pde mag update to ios5. since wala ka shsh files na save para sa imong phone. wa kay choice but to update to current latest software sa apple. mao ni ako nahibaw.an..

pero sa a4 devices (iphone 4, iphone 3gs, ipod touch 4th gen) pde maka downgrade to 5.1.1 from ios6 if naa shsh files naka save from 5.1.1.

pde sad mag restore ang a4 device from 5.1.1 to 5.1.1 without updating to ios 6 (tested with my iphone4)

yep ma erase na bro.. u can backup your phone sa itunes, and if jailbroken ka, you can check this site, para mag backup og cydia apps and tweaks.

then pde na ka mag update to latest software (6.0.1)

i noticed wala nakatake note ani sa other replies but i need to know first things first, what version of itunes are you using?

if you want nga version 5 nga iOS ang i-install, dapat 10.6 na ang itunes sir.

or you can download latest itunes... does not matter mn cgro as long as updated imong itunes bro... nya i think dli na ka maka install og iOS 5 karn, except if naka save ka shsh blobs para ana na phone...

mo-matter ang version sa itunes sir ky once naka 10.7 itunes naka or ang latest karon, dili naka maka-install or downgrade to ios5. dapat 10.6 ang itunes in order maka install ka sa ios5.
