but that feat was risky. maybe he should have used a toy grenade just to be safe.

@ducat: next time use a fake grenade, ok?

Even with fake grenades, I still don't condone his acts. Its an act of terrorism .... Imagine if...

Ok .. Let's all hijack jeepneys and busses for a cause, lets strap ourselves with dynamites and grenades and hijack some school children. Let's demand free education for the boys studying in Mabolo elementary school. Yeah lets do that, we all have good intentions ... we all love these kids ... so let's be modern day heroes.

Chavit Singson only arrived a few minutes after the children were released.

So, is Chavit the hero here when he "rescued" the children by taking off the grenades from Ducats hands?

When children around the country are homeless, left on the streets, without food or even dying all because their parents are busy with jueting or gambling tolerated by government officials who collects their share from it. And children are into drugs, gang wars, crime instead of being in school. True enough that eduaction has a big chunk in our national budget (in the billions) but does this reach our children? Or passed in the hands of a lot of government officials like Bong who wants a piece of the cake.

While the children are left on the bus, with all the food, toys, airconditioned, teachers who takes care of them, (can all be verified by tv footage and witnesses around the area) all day long with somebody they know, Jun Ducat, who all alone thinks of their future.

good point. Ducat seems to be a good man.

hey, maybe he briefed the teachers and the children of what hes about to do before hostaging them to prevent them to have Post trauma stress. ---->this is a possibility

...ever wondered why not a single parent of the kids filed a case against the man? i believe he is a good man, but not a hero.
