Pool champion denies molesting daughter

MANILA, Philippines -- Double World Pool champion (9-ball and 8-ball) Ronato “Volcano” Alcano has denied accusations that he molested his 14-year-old daughter, who made the revelation in a television interview Monday.

“Hindi po totoo yang balitang yan. (The news is not true.), ” Alcano said on Monday in an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Perry Mariano, Alcano’s manager and benefactor, confirmed his ward’s statement.

“Hindi totoo yan. Marahil may nagbubuyo sa batang yan. Siyempre iba na kasi ang buhay ni Ronnie ngayon na bukod sa nagkapera ay may bagong kotse pa. (That’s not true. Someone put her up to it. Ronnie’s life is different now. He has money and a new car.),” he said.

“Ang totoo niyan ay umuutang pa nga yung bata sa akin ng P100,000 lingid sa kanyang ama kahit binigyan na siya ng kanyang ama ng P100,000. (The truth is, the child is borrowing P100,000 from me although her father already gave her P100,000.),” Mariano said. “May boyfriend din yung bata. (She also has a boyfriend.)”

He said Alcano’s daughter will file a case of “child abuse” against Alcano in the Department of Justice.

Alcano’s closest friends, Victor de Castro and Dondon Razalan, vouched for the character of the world pool champion.

“Paano mangyayari yun eh ang bait-bait na ama ni Ronnie? Hindi niya magagawa yung bagay na ibinibintang. (How can that happen? Ronnie is such a good father. He can never do what he has been accused of.),” De Castro said.

Alcano has had a good run these past months. In November, he won the World 9-ball crown in Manila. In February, he got a P1-million contract to endorse Guinness Beer, the new title sponsor of the Asian 9-ball tour which will kick off on April 20 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

as what i have learned on the news sa tv, wala naman ni moipon si alcano sa orig nga wife, mura'g 2nd family na iya puyo karon. then ang kani nga anak is with the orig wife. correct me if I'm wrong woth the news....
