Default Catholic wedding officiated by Non-Catholic?

    Hi guys!

My fiance and I are both Roman Catholics but since we live away from each other, it's causing a lot of problems in getting our paper work straight para sa Church Wedding, what with all the seminars and parishes we have to go to. Gasto pud kaayo if either side travels back and forth and our wedding fund isn't big as it is.

Not to mention P10,000 and up ang pangayo sa church And that's just the venue. Also, walay pari diri sa amu mu-officiate ug Sunday, which is a problem kay a lot of important guests sa ako fiance (who are also dear to me) dili ka attend unless it's Sunday. And wala puy pari mu officiate atong chapel na within the location sa amu reception (trying to save on bridal car and transpo)

We considered a civil wedding pero my mother is vehemently against it kay wala daw blessings ni Lord. Then, ako wedding planner mi-suggest na usa ka bishop from "Old Catholic" church ang mo-officiate sa amu kasal, just like hers. All we need is P5,000, no need for the 3 Sunday Seminar. Just our marriage license, and we can be married ANYWHERE. No need to convert, as he officiates weddings for every Christian religion.

I researched on this Old Catholic, and it's similar or IS Anglican or Aglipayan.

So kinsa na nakatry na ga officiate nga priest kay Aglipayan/Anglican/Old Catholic? And is it true na dili jud na i-acknowledge na union sa Catholic church?

    Thanks sa input guys!

dili gyud na e recognize sa Catholic Church. the Catholic Church do not even recognize civil weddings, at least that is what i understand.

try to make sure lang nga licensed (meaning he has the authority given by the state to officiate marriages) na nga bishop ang mokasal ninyo para ma recognized nga legal ang inyong marriage by the state.

    I think it illegal.

Parehas sa kasal nila Kris A. N James Yap...na void ila kasal ky both of them are Roman Catholic then ang nag officiate sa ilang kasal ky non-Roman Catholic...mao nay.1 sa grounds nga na void ila kasal.
Dapat 1 ninyo same og religion sa mo officiate.

    Better inquire re:legallity...kuyaw ng mailad.

unsa imo pasabot sa live away from each other..different countries different provinces

wala ko kadungog ug ingani na roman catholic ang couple tapos non-RC ang mu-officiate...

as long as the officiant has the necessary papers eg license/certificates to officiate the marriage...ma consider na legal inyo marriage...by the state...

but if atong iconsider ang religion...dli jud ni ma recognize sa Roman Catholic church...

so technically...silingan ra xa sa civil wedding...

dli jud day makalugar inyong guest ug lain day..let's say saturday even if sau ninyo sila pahibaw-on aron maka adjust cla sa ilang schedule?

wala man mi budget au sa amo kasal...but kai gusto man jud mi nga simbahan kaslon..by hook or by crook gasimbahan jud mi...

by the way...para nako...gamit bya ng pre-cana..more than just a requirement na para nako...
