In what state of mind does a person do such things?

I believe that it is a very radical and idealistic action on his part to do such "crazy things" It may or it may not be connected to a certain politician to conive such for personal propaganda . I partly understood his wants as it reflects the philippine society nowadays . So many misappropriations of national budget has been done and we are buried in a pyramid of countless "kickbacks" no wonder we are the most corrupt economy .

So it is a fitting wake up call. An unsung hero whose ideals are beyond his grasps. But nevertheless his dreams are far more intact than those pea brained politicians pursuing a dream of a branded lifestyle .

Ducat took it overboard by risking the lives of innocent children. taking them as hostages and unpinning the granades. However, he did a good thing by not harming anyone as this would've been the signal for the law enforcement to take measures as the perp has become violent.

Hero of the day? My bet would be Sen. Revilla.
    no, it was Chavit Singson...
and with that note,in my opinion, i think its politically motivated..but if it were, then its way overboard by risking children..
even if chavit did persuade the hostage taker to release the hostage, i still wouldn't want to vote for him.

earlier on the day, sen. revilla negotiated for an hour and thirty minutes with Jun Ducat regarding the release of the hostages. Ducat already assured that they would be released at 7PM. Hostages were released at 7:15PM. In fact, Sen. Revilla was the one who took the sick child right outside the bus when he was released.

Chavit Singson only arrived a few minutes after the children were released.
