Look at the source of the article before commenting. It's a lobby group for right-wing evangelists who have an ulterior motive in publishing this article.

As bad as forced abortions are, is it as prevalent as the article makes it out to be or are these isolated cases by abusive officials that aren't sanctioned by the central government?

Next, regarding one-child policy this is a policy that has helped China achieve economic prosperity and improved living conditions for everyone. I won't say having thousands of kids living on the streets and starving of malnutrition is worse than forced abortions but before we criticize other societies, we should consider if we measure up to our own standards.

Look at some of the posts on the vigilante thread and tell me are we really more civilized than them or do we have our own problems to deal with over here?

I think it's good to plan ahead by using condoms or stuff like that, but if there's already a human inside, that's just murder....poor kid (My own opinion)

I agree but hundreds of late stage abortions are done everyday in this country as well. To what degree is it being a forced abortion a worse crime than if a girl does it voluntarily? Since these forced abortions are an isolated case, whereas voluntary abortions here are widespread, I would say we have a worse problem on our hands as they do.

Abusive officials there are responsible for their criminal acts, but extremist religious officials here are also indirectly responsible for the many abortions that happen in our country every day because they insist on banning condoms/contraceptives that would have prevented the problem in the first place.
