if mu.display sya in external monitor, it means nga dili GPU ang daot.. its either LCD nalang or the BGA thing ...

try to get a 2nd opinion. According to the forum here and sa uban forums, it's an LCD issue.

So far mao ni mga common problems sa ako mga amigo sa ilang Dell XPS M1330

- Keyboard keys wont work
- Power Adapter wont work
- Defective NV GPU

Anyway, try having the LCD replaced (preferably kanang No-Fix-No-Pay nga arrangement)

if it's something with the board gyud... check if pwede pa ma replace sa Dell

My friends got tired of the other problems that plagued their laptops unya ang battery sad nila after 2-4 years kay guba na so instead of spending money pa on their old laptops... they decided to save up for new ones.


In your case, if mahal ra ang cost to fix it... you could use it as a desktop ang dock it to an external monitor and connect kb/mouse to it para naa pa syay use.

i was a Dell technician before. this is a known issue "NVIDIA GPU Failure". this XPS M1330 was affected by that issue couple of years back

although naay display sa external monitor there is a high possibility na guba ni ang GPU and the solution is to replace the system motherboard. like i said it is a known issue NVIDIA GPU failure and affected ni na model and XPS M1330

actually the def parts is not the chip but switching micro transistor failed to switch the signal going to an IC that control the vga port

mao sad ako ghuna2 ako nalang ning himuong desktop arun mapulsan but try nako ireplace ang LCD ani like you said kanang No-Fix-No-Pay arrangement .. and if ever nga dili jud LCD ang guba, might nga himuon nalang jud nako ning desktop ..
asa diri cebu kanang LCD replacement nga No-Fix-No-Pay arrangement sir ?

In all likelihood, it's that switching micro transistor nga guba. Try to find a technician or repair shop nga mu ayo ana. Suwayi greenvalley or kanang mga uban repair shop nga mu handle ug component level nga repair.. basin maka tabang sila nimo.
