Yes it is but there is something more than that It is the revelation of God to humanity.
Unless we read it through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we cannot have a life-changing experience.
Unless we understand God's righteousness and judgment, we cannot comprehend the deeper purpose of our existence.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

That's why milliions of people around the world take its message with seriousness!!
