pls post other temperatures monitored sa imo videocard using gpu-z @ load.. if gpu is really 80degC, mostly sometly other parts are heating up as well. i will try to clean hsf and reapply thermal paste to see if there is any difference in temps
then uninstall old drivers and clean up left overs by using drivercleaner or driver sweeper in "safe mode" and install the most stable catalyst drive for your card.
if suspecting a HDD failure, just post the SMART status for a faster view of possible drive malfunctioning(but i think this is not the case)
