Correction dude, it's Rumpel Leede's test and it's also known as the "tourniquet test". It's a capillary fragility test to determine if more petechiaes flare up at least 20. It's a positive sign that patient may have bleeding tendencies. Capillary refill time is more on 2 seconds. You forgot one main symptom that rashes may appear during the onset of DF.
Usually patients with DF may characterize with low platelet (thrombocytopenia) and low WBC (leukopenia).
Danger: If fever subsides after 3-5 days then it's on peak. BP drops, liver enlarges (hepatomegaly), bleeding/ hemorrhage occurs thus compensating the circulatory system in a state of shock then death.
Most treatments on DF relies only on IV therapy monitored with strict IVF rate and blood/platelet transfusion.
